Ted Deinard – Chairman of the Board

Ted is a founding board member of RCD. He is a Managing Director at Quadrant Management, a New York-based principal investment firm, where he has worked since 2008. He serves as Chairperson of S1 Gateway (Argentina), Rose Mill (Connecticut), and MVIS/Bartco (Australia/UK), and is President of QFMI Management, an alternative investment firm. Ted previously held a director role at Citigroup Global Markets and holds a B.A. in Psychology from Yale University.

Craig Adler – Board Chair of Development and Marketing

Craig joined the RCD Board of Directors in 2023. After a career in Asian market trading, he transitioned to the nonprofit sector in 2016, focusing on programming and development. He also completed the Encore program at the University of Connecticut School of Public Policy that same year.

Leigh Englen – Board Member

Leigh joined the RCD Board of Directors in 2013. She began her career in affordable housing through two years of service with AmeriCorps at a Habitat for Humanity affiliate in southwest Georgia. This experience in construction and volunteer coordination laid the foundation for a professional path centered on affordable housing and community service, especially connecting people—both youth and adults—to service opportunities and those in need. In addition to her professional work, Leigh is actively involved in her church, particularly in mission work and managing weekly audio-video productions. She holds a M.A. in Nonprofit Management from the University of Georgia.

Josh Flaherty – Board Chair of Operations, HR, and Risk Management

Josh joined the RCD Board of Directors in April 2025. A licensed clinical social worker and Executive Director of Adventure Recovery, he holds a B.A. from Tufts University and an MSW from Fordham University. His diverse experience across the recovery community, entertainment industry, and corporate sector brings valuable insight to his contributions at RCD.

Fred Gunther – Board Chair of Acquisition and Renovation

Fred joined the RCD Board of Directors in 2015, bringing over 50 years of experience in custom building and design. He is President of Gunther Homes Inc., a residential building and design firm. Fred lives in Trumbull with his wife, Christina, and their children.

Nancy McDade – Board Secretary

Nancy is a founding board member of RCD and served on the board of Pivot Ministries for over 10 years. She is passionate about providing housing and has opened her home to many individuals, with stays ranging from a few days to two years. Nancy holds a B.A. in Accounting and has spent the past 30 years volunteering as an administrator and/or accountant for various Christian organizations. She is also a certified Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University counselor.

Thomas Orr – Board Treasurer

Thomas is a founding board member of RCD and has held various operational and financial roles since its inception in 2012. He spent 30 years in investment management and brokerage, specializing in equity research, trading, and risk management before retiring in 2010 to focus on family and nonprofit work. He holds a B.A. in English Literature from Duke University.

Thomas Purdy – Board Member

Michael Reed – Board Member

Michael joined the RCD Board of Directors in 2024. He is an investment consultant based in New Canaan, where he lives with his wife, Kristin, and their two college-age children. He is Board President of the Jericho Project and serves as CIO and Behavioral Health Committee member at the New Canaan Community Foundation. Michael holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Princeton and spent 28 years in quantitative finance at Morgan Stanley and Zebra Capital. In recovery since 2009, he is committed to service and giving back.
